TZANEEN Healthcare Hub

Terms & Conditions

The terms that govern your use of our website, appointments and telehealth consultations.

Last updated: 6 October 2026

This page is a plain-language summary of how TZANEEN Healthcare Hub works with you online. It is not legal advice. If anything here is unclear, please contact us before using the service.

1.About These Terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the TZANEEN Healthcare Hub website and to any appointment, service or telehealth consultation you book through it. The website is operated by TZANEEN Healthcare Hub, Roettgers-Setimela Avenue, R71 Aqua Park, Tzaneen, Limpopo 0850, South Africa.

By browsing the website, creating an account or booking an appointment, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or the services offered through it.

2.Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and book appointments for yourself. A parent or legal guardian may book on behalf of a minor in their care. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep your account details up to date.

3.Medical Emergencies

This website is not an emergency service. Do not use it to report a medical emergency.

If you or someone else is seriously ill or injured, call an ambulance on 10177 (or 112 from a mobile phone), go to the nearest emergency department, or call our 24/7 emergency line on +27 15 307 7550.

We are not responsible for delays that arise because you used the website instead of contacting emergency services directly.

4.Medical Services and No Doctor–Patient Relationship

The website helps you find practitioners, view services and book appointments. Information published on the website — including service descriptions, FAQ answers and any general health content — is for general information only. It is not a diagnosis, a prescription, or a substitute for a consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.

A doctor–patient relationship only begins when a practitioner accepts you as a patient and consults with you, whether in person or by telehealth. No such relationship is created by visiting the website or booking an appointment.

5.Appointments, Cancellations and No-Shows

Appointments are subject to practitioner availability and may need to be moved or cancelled for clinical reasons. We will contact you as soon as possible if that happens.

Our standard cancellation policy is:

  • 24 hours or more before the appointment: no cancellation fee.
  • Less than 24 hoursbefore the appointment: 50% of the consultation fee.
  • No-show: the full consultation fee.

Please bring a valid ID and, if applicable, your medical aid card to in-person visits.

6.Telehealth Consultations

Some consultations may be offered remotely by video, audio or secure chat. Telehealth services in South Africa are governed by the National Health Act 61 of 2003 and the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) guidelines on telemedicine and telehealth, and we aim to deliver virtual care in line with those standards.

Your consent. By booking a telehealth consultation you consent to being consulted remotely. You may withdraw that consent at any time and request an in-person appointment instead.

What you need. A smartphone, tablet or computer with a working camera, microphone and speakers, a stable internet connection (a minimum of 5 Mbps is recommended), and a recent version of Chrome, Safari or Firefox.

Your environment. You should take the call from a private place where you can speak freely and cannot be overheard. Recording a consultation by either party is not permitted unless everyone taking part gives written consent.

Limitations. A remote consultation has limits. A practitioner may not be able to examine you physically, and may need to refer you for an in-person examination, tests or imaging. Where clinically appropriate, a practitioner may issue an electronic prescription, in line with applicable medicine and pharmacy rules.

If something goes wrong. If the connection drops, the practitioner will try to reconnect and we will contact you to reschedule at no additional cost if the consultation cannot be completed. If you feel unwell or unsafe during or after a telehealth consultation, stop the call and contact emergency services as set out in section 3.

7.Fees, Billing and Medical Aid

Consultation fees are shown where applicable and may differ between practitioners and services. Fees are payable by you and may be claimed back from your medical aid depending on your plan and benefits.

We accept most major medical aids, including Discovery, Bonitas, Momentum and GEMS, but cover is always subject to your scheme’s rules and authorisation. Any shortfall, co-payment or non-covered amount remains your responsibility. Please confirm cover with your scheme before your appointment.

Fees, quotes and payment terms shown on the website are indicative and may be updated at any time.

8.Your Account and Acceptable Use

You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for everything done through your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

You agree not to:

  • provide false information or impersonate anyone else;
  • use the website for anything unlawful, abusive, defamatory or misleading;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, other accounts or our systems, or interfere with their normal operation;
  • scrape, copy or resell website content or other patients’ information.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms or creates a risk to other patients, practitioners or our systems.

9.Privacy, Personal Information and Cookies

We process your personal information, including health information, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and the confidentiality duties that apply to healthcare providers. How we collect, use, share and protect your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Electronic communications with us are also subject to the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002. The cookies and local storage we use are described in our Cookie Policy.

10.Intellectual Property

The website, its content, branding, layout and software are owned by or licensed to TZANEEN Healthcare Hub and are protected by South African and international intellectual property law. You may view and print content for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other copying, modification, distribution or republication requires our prior written permission.

11.Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or any other law that cannot be excluded.

Subject to that, the website is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not warrant that it will always be available, error-free or free of harmful components. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss arising from your reliance on general information published on the website rather than from advice given to you in a consultation.

Clinical care is provided by the individual practitioner who consults you, and is subject to their professional obligations and indemnity cover.

12.Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. You and TZANEEN Healthcare Hub agree that disputes will be dealt with by the courts of South Africa with jurisdiction over Tzaneen, Limpopo, unless the law requires otherwise. We encourage you to raise any complaint with us first, using the details in section 14.

13.Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or the law. The updated version takes effect when it is published on this page, and the “Last updated” date at the top will change. Your continued use of the website after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
